At the core of the programme is the opportunity for Mentees to work on the South West productions in the Digital Shorts Scheme. The Mentees have been attached to Producers: Abigail Davies, Rachel Drummon-Hay, Ben Lock and Helen Brunsdon.
Further opportunities are also being sought through HTV, BBC, Aardman Animations, South West Screen, Firstborn Creatives, and other industry production houses. Such opportunities will give trainees the chance to work with industry professionals on location and in specific specific creative disciplines.
The Trainees will collaborate on a production of their own production, where they will take on between them, the process of getting an idea from script to screen.
Suitable opportunities for Mentees to partake in Training and Development activity will be sought throughout the programme.
The Trainees are required to document their production activity and insights. Selected Journal entries, photographs and finished work will contirbute to each Trainee's personal Portfolio on completion of the scheme in December 2004.
At times, additional Exercises and Responsibilities might be set. These are intended to stretch the Mentee in the directions that they wish to grow.
