Digital Shorts 04/05

South West Screen and UK Film Council in association with Aardman Animations, Watershed and DA2, is supporting eight filmmakers under the Digital Shorts Scheme to produce a series of short films.

As part of this project we are looking for 5 trainees to work along side the filmmakers.

We are looking for 5 trainees with;

· A healthy interest in short film production.

· Some experience and demonstration of a range of skills from storyboard to post production, from animation to live action.

· An ambition to work in the film industry.

We are particularly interested in applications from women, minority ethnic and disabled people who are under-represented in certain areas of the film industry.

Through the process trainees will be supported by Firstborn Creatives, a Bristol based media production company.

Trainees will work on the Digital Shorts from September to October 2004.

At the end of the programme, there will be an opportunity for the 5 trainees to make two short films.
